Fuel pressure gauge is important part of every car. Fuel pressure is important for every engine. By keeping fuel pressure under control, we are basically controlling the car’s power.
If the fuel pressure gauges shows that pressure is too low, then it means that we have an underpowered engine. On the opposite side, if the fuel pressure is too high, then our combustion chamber is receiving too much fuel that will end up wasted. That is the best way to increase the amount of fuel spent for nothing.
Installation of fuel pressure gauge is of great importance. If you don’t do everything properly, the gauge might not work. You will hurt your car engine way too much and that could cost you thousands of dollars easily!
1. A rug must be placed under the rubber hose that is connecting the filter for fuel to the induction system for fuel. The rag will be there as a catch when that line is cut and the fuel goes from the hose.
2. Take the hose cutting pliers and cut the fuel line that is connecting filer and induction system.
3.Slide one hose clamp over each end of the cut fuel line.
4. Now it’s time to take fuel pressure gauge and install it. Take one of the cut fuel lines and insert it into fuel pressure gauge. Tighten the clamp into place by using the screw with a screwdriver in a clockwise direction.
5. Take the other end of fuel line and insert into the other end of fuel line. Then do the steps outline about in the fourth step.
6. Take away the rag and let the fuel on the top of engine air dry before you attempt to start engine.
